Adobe Express is an excellent tool for boosting classroom creativity. It’s a web-based program that even the youngest pupils can use to add a little extra creativity to their school work. Express assists students in gaining significant storytelling and digital technology skills. It’s really simple to use, with templates for any occasion and a user-friendly interface. Adobe Express lets students and teachers quickly and easily create and share visual tales.
Why should you use Adobe Express?
- It’s quite simple to use.
- Use design and formats to improve and enhance all of your educational materials.
- Students and future employers value digital literacy.
- Concepts for cross-functional design for any course and discipline
- They’re all accessible as applications! To put it another way, you and your students can make anything, anywhere.
Is Adobe Express available for free?
Adobe Creative Cloud Express (Adobe Spark) is completely free for everyone, forever. All you have to do is create a new account (no credit card information required) and you’re ready to start designing right away.
The free edition of the application offers you access to all three sections, as well as a number of templates and the opportunity to submit your own photos. But there’s a catch: the Adobe Creative Cloud Express (Adobe Spark) logo appears on all final creations on Page and Video (see our Adobe Creative Cloud Express (Adobe Spark) Alternatives), and it’s not detachable.
You’ll have to pay if you want your final design to be totally tailored to your company and not feature Adobe Creative Cloud Express (Adobe Spark) branding. There’s no getting around it.
What is the price of Adobe Express?
Adobe Express Premium is a premium add-on to the Starter Plan that allows you to create branded stories with your own logo, colors, and fonts. It’s included with any Adobe Creative Cloud plan, or you may buy it separately on the Express website or through the Express iOS apps’ in-app purchase. The cost is $9.99 a month if you don’t want to commit to an annual contract, or $99.99 per year if you do.

How to use Adobe Express?
Adobe Express could be used in dynamic ways. You can create a static image, or a dynamic video, or can be used in creating a website as well. We’ll walk you through the fundamentals of Adobe Express so you can start bringing your ideas to life right now.
1. Create an account.
The Adobe Express Starter Plan is available for free on both express.adobe.com/sp and any Express mobile apps. The complete edition of Adobe Express is a subscription service that allows you to create branded stories with your own logo, colors, and fonts in addition to the beginning plan.
You may begin your Adobe Express journey by joining up or logging in using a variety of platforms, including Google, Facebook, and Apple, by clicking ‘Start now.’
2. Make a visual representation
There are several options for getting started with your first graphic. You may easily select ‘make a project’ or choose the sort of project you want to create from the main page once you’ve logged in. Your recent work will also be preserved in the same spot, allowing you to find them quickly and simply.
Templates can be found beneath Recent Projects under Templates. These are accessible to make article creation even easier, and they can provide you with some fresh ideas straight away.
To continue, click Edit this Template after you’ve picked your template. The template will save a copy to your projects on your main page as soon as it loads, which you may name by double-clicking beside Projects at the top of your screen.
After you’ve chosen your template, you may begin editing it. Simply clicking on the text box will bring up the options for editing your text. A new navigation bar appears to the right of your template. Using the different options offered, you can now add or alter your text as needed.
You can swap up your font here by selecting from a variety of font options to fit your particular preferences. Don’t like how big it is? Once the text has been selected, you may easily enlarge or reduce it by clicking and dragging until you reach the desired size.
Color options are located beneath the text option, and they allow you to simply change the color of your highlighted text.
The shapes option is a fantastic method to make your content stand out even more! Simply choose your text and scroll down to the shapes menu, where you may choose your preferred shape. If you want to remove your shape option, simply click the No Shape icon.
Objects & Images
Do you want to move extra photos and objects around on your page? By clicking on an image, you may quickly pick it. You may resize, tilt, duplicate, and delete it from here, as well as change its opacity and color.
Do you want to apply a filter quickly and easily? All you have to do is choose an image and then click the filters icon beneath Image. You’ll also be able to improve your shot and add a blur effect.
Add More Pictures
If you want to add more images to your design, click on the add arrow and then Upload a Photo. From here, you may upload a photo straight from your computer, import it from other sources like Google Drive or iCloud, or search for free photos using Adobe Express.
You’ll be given the option to Add to College or Move Freely from here. Adding to collage will place your photo immediately into your design, with fixed proportions that you can adjust afterwards, whereas moving freely’ will let you place your photo wherever within your graphic.
Whichever choice you choose, you will be able to quickly switch to the other afterwards. You can still adjust the arrangement, scale, and zoom of your collage by adding more photos. You can adjust your graphic to fit different types of social media with the resize function, or select custom to insert the precise size you need.
After you’ve completed making your graphic, click Download in the top right corner of the screen to save it. Select whether you want to save the graphic as a PNG, JPG, or PDF file, then click
Start downloading. Click the Share button in the top right corner if you want to publish or share the graphic straight away.
You have the option of inviting someone or making it public.
If your graphic is still a work in progress, you can ask individuals to contribute by adding emails and sending invitations.
3. Creating a video
Adobe express is most commonly used to produce video segments that include videos, text, images, and voice over. While there are a variety of methods to begin your video production, we’ll go back to your home screen and choose Slideshow.
Add a title to your document
You’ll be asked to create a title for your video first. This does not have to be your final title, and you may always skip this stage and come back to it later.
Select a Template
You can either swipe through the various templates to pick one that meets your needs, or you can start from scratch and create your own look.
When you choose Video, you can select a video from your computer, which is usually in the.mp4 or.mv4 format.
You have the option of cutting your video both before and after it is inserted. To trim your video, move the left and right panels at the bottom of the screen to select the start and stop points. The video you trimmed will be put onto your title page after you save it.
Simply click the video screen and select the pencil symbol that appears in the top right-hand corner to trim your video after you’ve included it into the slideshow. You may cut your movie, zoom in, and modify the clip loudness from here.
Including a Voice Over
A voice-over can be a useful tool for explaining what’s happening in your video and providing clarification. Once you’ve selected the red microphone button, make sure you select Allow when the request occurs to allow Adobe Express access to your microphone; otherwise, it won’t work.
To record your voice-over, click and hold the orange microphone button at the bottom center of the screen. Speak in a normal conversational tone or whatever you are comfortable with. To end the voice-over recording, release the button. You can listen to your voice again and, if necessary, re-record it.
include Music in Your Video
Adding background music to your movie is an excellent technique to make your slideshow more enjoyable and professional. The Music tab is located in the upper right corner of the screen, and it contains a list of music soundtracks that you can use in your video.
To locate a music option that you enjoy, scroll through the list. You can preview the various music options by clicking on them. Once you’ve found the soundtrack you wish to use, click Add My Music to have the track added to your video. The soundtrack will loop throughout your video unless you edit it to do otherwise.
Including an image in Your Video
To insert a new slide, click the Add button on the left side of the title page to insert a new slide with a backdrop photo. When you click Photo, a selection of options appears, allowing you to choose where you want to acquire the photo.
When you choose Find Photographs, you can choose from a choice of photos in Adobe Express’ picture collection that are copyright free and can be used in your Express page, post, or video. You may also use your Creative Cloud, Lightroom, Dropbox, and Google Photographs accounts to import photos. Alternatively, you can simply drag & drop your photo onto the slide.
Inclusion of Text
Text can be put as an overlay to either a video or images, and it’s just as simple as adding photos. When you click the T icon, you’ll see a cursor emerge and you’ll be able to type. The letters get smaller as you type more.
Choose a layout
Along with selecting a template, you may also customize the appearance of the scene by selecting a Layout. The four layout choices are listed below:
- Full-screen mode: A Video or a Photo might take up the entire screen.
- Captioning • Split Screen
- Text and title
You can also create a visual theme here, which allows you to make rapid adjustments to color and typography.
Play the preview
It’s time to preview your video now that you’ve added all of your photographs, text, videos, and other elements to it.
The Preview button is located at the top of your movie and allows you to preview it before posting and sharing it with others. You can close the preview window and make your modifications if you decide you need to make some changes.
You can share your film with anybody you want once you’re satisfied with it. To do so, go to the top of the video and click on the Share option. You may also save your finished project to your computer by downloading it.
4. Designing a website
With Adobe Express, you may launch a web page in a variety of ways. You can begin a new project by clicking the blue plus button or by selecting a template. Choose a Page template in the Express browser version, which is compatible with all Adobe Express apps, or Create a Web Page to start from scratch.
Express projects are kept in a cloud-based format, so you may start working on them on your computer and finish them on your phone.
Add a Title
You’ll be requested to provide a title and a subtitle right immediately, both of which can be altered later.
Content inclusion option
You will be requested to add a photo right away, and you will be able to select a photo from a variety of sources. Using the + icon, you can add content to a page in a variety of ways:
- Photo: Use this to add a single photo that you can resize and shape to your liking.
- Text: Fill in the blanks with text boxes (not including captions).
- Button: Use a graphic to link to another website.
- Video: Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and an Express Video link can all be placed here.
- Photo grid: This adds a photo grouping.
- Slideshow: Slideshows feature a fade-out effect and can have photos or text overlaid on top of the images, or they can be left blank.
You have the option of inserting gorgeous ready-made themes into your website, which will instantly assist in making your webpage look more professional, similar to how you can enter pictures and movies into your website.
5. Complete and distribute
Once you’ve completed editing, click the Present or Preview button to see how your website will look once it’s finished.
If you’re satisfied with the final product, click the share button to generate a unique URL to share. You’ll be able to share the Express Page on social media networks and embed it on another webpage.
We hope you’ve enjoyed learning about Adobe Express’ ease of use and effectiveness! While this is a tool that is best suited for instructional reasons, it may be used by anyone of any ability level.
Adobe Express is a terrific resource if you’re searching for a simple and basic approach to creating graphics, webpages, or editing films.
